FIN University ("we", "us") is the data controller responsible for personal information collected through the FIN University app and website. This notice explains what we collect, why, and your choices.

• Account details: name, email address, login credentials and profile picture.
• App activity: simulated trades, portfolios, watchlists, milestones, streaks and leaderboard results.
• Classroom data: class and competition membership and teacher invitations sent to your email.
• Support messages you send us.
• Technical data: IP address, device and browser identifiers, and usage information.

How We Use It And Legal Basis

• Creating your account and providing the Service (performance of a contract).
• Showing leaderboards and class competitions (contract and legitimate interests).
• Security, fraud prevention and fair competitions (legitimate interests).
• Improving the app and answering support requests (legitimate interests).
• Sending product updates where you have agreed (consent, which you can withdraw).
• Meeting legal obligations (legal obligation).

Who We Share It With

• Service providers who host and run the app, such as hosting, database and authentication providers.
• Paddle, our Merchant of Record, for selling subscriptions, managing payments, tax compliance and invoicing.
• Teachers and classmates, limited to your display name and results within a class or competition.
• Professional advisers, such as legal and accounting.
• Authorities, where required by law.

We do not sell your personal information.

Retention

We keep your information while your account is active and as needed to provide the Service and meet legal obligations. When no longer needed, it is deleted or anonymised.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your information, object to or restrict certain uses, and withdraw consent. Contact us to make a request. If you are a student under 13, your school or parent should contact us on your behalf.

Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls.

Cookies

We use essential browser storage to keep you signed in and remember preferences such as dark mode and watchlists. We do not use advertising cookies.
